CARIBBEAN Airlines (CAL) resumed flights yesterday into and from New York’s JFK International Airport following the re-opening of the International airport, one day after the airline cancelled several flights due to a snow storm that hit several parts of the United States of America.

CAL’s official website (http://www.caribbean-airlines.com), yesterday stated in a flight advisory, that the flights had been resumed and listed the arrival and departure times from JFK International Airport in New York, to Trinidad and Jamaica.

CAL’s chairman, Rabindra Moonan, and airline communications manager Clint Williams, gave assurances on Friday that contingency measures had been put in place to ensure that the affected passengers will be able to fly in time for this weekend’s Carnival activities.

Passengers are advised to visit CAL’s website, Caribbean Airlines and Air Jamaica Facebook pages. Passengers are also advised to call 1 868 625 7200 (Trinidad); 1 888 359 2475 (Jamaica); 1 800 744 2225 (Caribbean toll free); 1 800 920 4225 (Caribbean Airlines North America toll free) and 1 800 523 5585 (Air Jamaica North America toll free) for flight-specific information. More than 3,700 flights were cancelled in the USA due to the snow storm threat.
