Judiciary: We won’t be swayed
Monday, May 5 2014
THE Judiciary has noted in a release its sadness and grave concern on the violent attack and murder of Dana Seetahal SC in the early hours of yesterday morning. “As a former Judicial Officer, as a well respected and experienced member of the Bar and as an Advocate before the Court, Seetahal was well known and regarded by members of the Judiciary. We extend our most sincere condolences to her family, her friends and her colleagues,” the statement read.
While, at this time, there is no established motive for this heinous act, it cannot escape attention that Ms Seetahal has appeared frequently in the criminal courts both as a prosecutor and as a defence attorney.
