POPULAR businessman Par-manand Yarna, popularly known as ‘Pancho’, who was shot in the stomach on June 13, is now looking to make a positive change in his life. Speaking at his Richplain, Diego Martin home yesterday, Yarna said he is regaining his strength steadily.

“I am at 90 percent right now. My body is a little weak because I went about twenty-something days without solid food. Right now I am eating strengthening things like fish broth. I cannot eat the food that we cook now. I have to make a change in life. Normally I would consider myself a 75 percent good man. When I came out alive from this ordeal, I am going to have to raise that by ten percent,” he joked.

He thanked doctors at Port-of-Spain General Hospital, both at the Intensive Care Unit and Ward 24, for quite literally saving his life. Yarna was shot in the stomach on the morning of Friday June 13 as he was standing near his popular Pancho’s Snackette off Queen Street in Port-of- Spain.
