‘Renew your efforts to the service of humanity

Tuesday, July 29 2014

In his 2014 Eid-ul-Fitr message, Mayor of San Fernando Alderman Kazim Hosein stressed that the burgesses of the city of San Fernando continuously renew their efforts towards the service of humanity.

“For me, and my family,” Hosein stated in his message, “Eid-ul-Fitr is another opportunity to reassess, revitalise and reinforce our own efforts to improve our lives and to be of good and greater service to humanity.

Our Council (San Fernando) continues in prayer and working hard in our many initiatives in cleaning and beautifying the city and making it a better place for all. Indeed there are challenges, but we continue to push forward and make progress, thankful for the prayers and support of all.”

Hosein went on to congratulate all those who have already committed themselves to peace, brotherhood, the family, the social fabric and the development of the city.

He continued, “I applaud the work and continued outstanding contributions of our Imams, Maulana and all our other scholars, together with all our other brothers and sisters in Islam and all our brothers and sisters in humanity for their sterling contribution towards peace, harmony and teaching our children to grow in positive values.

As we all move forward in the city of San Fernando, we must continually renew our efforts to the service of humanity, we must always give thanks and be grateful for our leaders, parents and teachers for their guidance.
