Epileptic found dead

Sunday, August 10 2014

POLICE have ruled out foul play in the death of a 53-year-old La Romaine man whose lifeless body was found slumped over a barrel of water in his yard on Friday. An autopsy will be done tomorrow on Kurt Rudder at the Forensic Science Centre in St James to determine the cause of death.

Reports are that at about 3.50 pm on Friday, a male relative discovered Rudder’s body in the barrel at Gail Street, La Romaine, and contacted police. The relative told police that Rudder, an epileptic, has been diagnosed with a brain tumour.

Residents told police that Rudder was seen earlier in the day walking along the street and he appeared to have been drunk. Police believed that Rudder was going to bathe and was trying to fetch some water when tragedy struck.
