Two patients said to be violent escaped on Friday night from the St Ann’s Psychiatric Hospital.

Seven other inmates attempted to escape from the St Ann’s Psychiatric Hospital, but were unsuccessful.

When hospital nurses checked yesterday morning, they discovered the two men missing from their rooms, which is in a secured area.

They were hospitalised for violent behaviour.

A report was made to the Belmont Police Station and officers are on the look out for the patients.

When Sunday Newsday contacted Hospital Administrator Dr Murchinson Melville, he refused to comment.
