CHAGUANAS West MP Jack Warner and Chaguanas Mayor Natasha Navas are due to meet the 54 former contract workers of Chaguanas Borough Corporation (CBC) at the CBC offices at 2 pm on Monday.

Warner is in Nigeria on FIFA business but was yesterday due to head to London and is expected back in time to meet the ex-workers, according to a source.

CBC councillors have also been invited to attend the meeting.

Reports are that on Friday at 5.30 pm at Jerry Junction, Warner also intends to press on with plans to open an office in the Couva North constituency of Opposition Leader Basdeo Panday.

Warner and Panday are engaged in a tit-for-tat in which each is seeking to supply “surrogate” representation to the other’s constituents.

Warner’s launch of a Jerry Junction office in Panday’s constituency will come on the heels of Panday’s incursion into Warner’s Chaguanas West constituency last Thursday to meet a few residents at the CBC office of Deputy Mayor Orlando Nagessar.
