AG blanking real issues
By SEAN DOUGLAS Friday, September 25 2009 OPPOSITION Senator Lyndira Oudit accused Attorney General John Jeremie of ignoring the truly pressing concerns over his portfolio in his address to the Senate earlier yesterday. Oudit used her Budget contribution in the Upper House to criticise Jeremie whose earlier statement was limited to criticising Law Association president, Martin Daly. Oudit accused Jeremie of ignoring the Integrity Commission fiasco, the Udecott controversy and the Validation Bill to legalise the Udecott Commission of Inquiry, the Equal Opportunity Bill, and the establishment of various Commissions. She said Jeremie had given a veiled passing of judgement about various matters in the public domain. The important issue, she said, was not mere fiscal measures but the human condition.
