The UNC will hold its general congress on Sunday at Rienzi Complex in Couva, Vasant Bharat, UNC chairman said yesterday and said that a personal invitation was sent to Congress of the People leader Winston Dookeran to attend.

Speaking at a press conference yesterday he said they are asking the national assembly to hold internal elections on January 24, 2010. They also intend to raise the issue of increased property tax, the issue of Udecott and a resolution on the failure of the President George Maxwell Richards to appoint the Integrity Commission.
