National Security Minister Jack Warner yesterday met with ten young men living a life of crime who are interested in changing their ways.

The closed door meeting took place at the Maloney Regional Complex in Maloney, last evening.

MP for the area Alicia Hospedales said she has been working with the men since 2008. She said they requested the meeting with Warner to discuss with him their intentions.

Speaking to reporters after, Warner said he tried to discouraged the men from their life of crime and gangs.

He said they expressed their willingness to change and he assured that officials from the National Security Ministry would meet with them today at 9 am to continue discussions and help them change their ways.

Before, heading to Maloney, Warner held a meeting of senior police officials, among them Police Commissioner Dwayne Gibbs at the ministry in Port-of-Spain.

He had been scheduled to meet the police executive this morning, but began talks with them yesterday.
