LAVENTILLE East/Morvant MP Donna Cox has expressed disgust at not being invited, as MP for the area, to the launch of the Hoops of Life anti-crime basketball project last Saturday at the Beetham Estate by Minister of National Security Jack Warner.

WHILE in February she publicly pledged to remove the controversial Anti-Corruption Investigations Bureau (ACIB) from under the remit of the Ministry of the Attorney General, Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar on Monday quietly advised President George Maxwell Richards to keep the department under the Attorney General.

PRIME MINISTER Kamla Persad-Bissessar yesterday said the appointments of Trade, Industry and Investment Minister Vasant Bharath and Couva South MP Rudy Indarsingh to the Ministry of Finance and the Economy will complement the efforts of new Finance and Economy Minister Larry Howai to strengthen the economy.
