THERE should be no denying Treasure Hunt in the $150,000 National Flour Mills St James Stakes for colts and geldings over 1350 metres at Santa Rosa Park, Arima, today.

But the $150,000 National Flour Mills St Ann’s Stakes is a toss up between five, with Jamaican-bred Royal Baby the most outstanding, Inconclusive, Grand Riviere, Bluesinthenite, and Defiuning Moment, while there is a whisper out for Iamnotrachael.

Royal Baby is unbeaten in her two starts , twice relegating Defining Moment to the runner-up position in good time of one minute 13.4 seconds over 1200 metres.

And Inconclusive won impresively over the same distance, also relegating Defining Moment to second in one minute 13.0 seconds.

Grand Riviere who started as favourite in that race won by Inconclusive seems to have come on a ton and should relish the longer trip.

Those appear to be the top contenders in the Hi 5. Like I said earlier, none of the other runners have come close to Treasure Hunt who stands head and shoulders over his rivals.

The likely runner-up should be Gold Bead with Invader and Sam’s Hero the others to make the frame.

Despite his welter burden and being asked to give away weight all around, Bruceontheloose should continue his winning ways in the Stakes & Lower Handicap over 1750 metres.

His biggest danger could be stablemate Chief Commander with Honest Hero holding a glimmer of hope.

The day’s opener is timed to be run off at noon.
