East successfully retained their BG TT Under-15 InterZone title with a come-from-behind three-wicket win over South at the National Cricket Centre, Balmain, Couva.

South, with a first innings lead of 28, resumed the day on 54 for five before ending their innings on 115 for eight in 57 overs.

Bhushan Maharaj topped the scoring with 30 while Aravinda Dookie pegged South back with a battling three-wicket haul.

Set 144 to win, East powered their way to their target with eight overs to spare. Keegan Simmons blazed 70 to cement their charge. He was supported with a solid knock of 52 from Anthony Sieunarine in the title defence.
