REAL MARACAS will have the opportunity to take the lead in the 12-team Blink/bmobile National Super League when they visit 2011 champs Joe Public at the Marvin Lee Stadium, Macoya.

Stokely Vale, the current leaders, have their scheduled meeting against Club Sando postponed until August 26 due to the use of their home ground, the Plymouth Recreation Ground, for matches in the West Indies Under-17 Cricket Tournament.

As a result, Maracas, WASA and even Joe Public, Westside Superstarzs FC and Club Sando can claim first place by the end of today’s matches. The Joe Public-Maracas contest will start at 4 pm while, simultaneously, Superstarzs will entertain 1976 FC Phoenix at the St Anthony’s College Ground in Westmoorings and FC Santa Rosa will be visiting Biche United at the Biche Recreation Ground. Two other games are on today’s agenda, with the win-less Defence Force entertaining Eagles United at the Youth Camp in Chaguaramas, from 3.30 pm, while WASA can also challenge for the top spot if they can get the better of their hosts Siparia Spurs at the Palo Seco Velodrome from 5 pm.
