THE CENTRAL Football Association (CFA) Premier League competition kicked off on Sunday at the Edinburgh 500 Recreation Ground, Chaguanas.

President of the CFA, Brian Layne, extended his gratitude to four groups - Joseph Ramsingh Tyre, Sanitank Limited, Ramsingh Sports World and Caribbean Facilities Corporation Limited, for their efforts in pooling over $40,000 in prize monies.

Harlem Strikers will be defending their crown against the challenges of 10 teams - Leeds United, Cap Off Youths, St Mary’s United, Couva Sports, Perseverance Ball Runners, Edinburgh 500, Cunupia FC (formerly Predators FC), Las Lomas United, KC Perseverance United and debutants Enterprise Youths FC.

In related news, the CFA will be staging its youth tournaments with the Under-8, Under-10, Under-12 and Under-14 Indoor Competitions, as well as the Under-16 and Under-18 Leagues.
