FOUR new apprentices will be added to the jockeys colony when they make their debut on the Arima Race Club Day 28 programme at Santa Rosa Park, Arima, on Saturday.

The newcomers are Keran Khelawan, a brother of promising apprentice Dillon Khelawan, David Butcher, Romario Hernandez and Steve Jadoo.

And the youngsters have all received bookings on the day’s eight-race programme.

Both Khelawan and Hernandez have been booked for the full quota of three rides each. Butcher who has one booking will be first on show astride Trust N Confidence in the day’s second race.

Khelawan (K) will make his debut to race riding in the third event aboard Cover You Donkey together with Hernandez who will ride Ten Powers.

Feature race of the day will be the 1750 metres fifth race for horses rated 90- 70 with a field of eight listed to face starter Carlton Ramsaroop.

An this race should hold great interest with in-form Golden Dizieland, Lang Amour and Go For The Gold engaged.

The Hi5 lovers could have at least three races on which to wager with 12 entered for the fourth race, a 1200 metres sprint for horses rated 55-35, the sixth over 1600 metres on the turf with 15 horses rated 45-0 the finale with 12 Trinidad and Tobago-bred three-year-old maidens are entered.
