The London Olympics may be over but the Olympic legacy is still alive in Trinidad and Tobago through the International Inspiration programme.

At a function held on Friday Debbie Lye, International Inspiration’s Programme Director, outlined the initiatives organisers of the London Olympics took to leave a lasting impression on the world.

Their focus is on promoting the sport of Paralympics, empowering young people through sport and ensuring Primary Schools in 20 countries teach Physical Education as part of the curriculum.

British High Commissioner, Arthur Snell, was present at the function and congratulated this country on their historic performance at the Olympics. Members of UNICEF, the Trinidad and Tobago Allicance for Sport and Physical Education (TTASPE) and Ministry of Sport were also present as they commented on the success of the various programmes.
