Real Unity whip Spartans

REAL UNITY whipped Spartans by five wickets, on September 28, as the North/South Cricket League continued at the Bamboo Settlement Number One Recreation Ground, Valsayn.

Spartans posted a score of 67 runs for seven wickets with Lackraj Halgobin hitting 14 and Gerald Lutchman 13. Kewin Ballington claimed three wickets for 17 runs while Nickson Trotman had 2/17 and Jared Persad 2/20.

Real Unity reached 68/5 in nine overs, courtesy of 17 from Earl Trotman, 16 from Ancil Nedd and an unbeaten 11 from Trevor Henry.

Robin Annandsingh took all five wickets, for 11 runs.

Earlier on the day, Stormers spanked Madras United by seven wickets.

Madras were restricted to 37/8 with Vimal Balay taking 4/8 while Rajiv Karapan and Leon Ramdeen each claimed 2/8.

In response, Stormers sped to 40/3 in 6.2 overs, with Vishan Jaggasar hitting 18 not out. Preshant Maharaj got 2/14 for Madras.

UNKNOWN 47/7 (12 overs) - Aleem Ali 2/5 vs UNITED ALL STARS 51/2 (8.5 overs) - Jonathan Narine 28, Rishad Mohammed 10 not out. United All Stars won by eight wickets.

September 20 -

ROAD RUNNERS 31 (8.2 overs) - Aakash Harrynanan 4/1 vs DARK HORSE 32/3 (8.4 overs) - Marc Joseph 12, Rawlins Ramkissoon 10. Dark Horse won by seven wickets.

NIGHTINGALE SC 61/8 (12 overs) - Fazeed Ali 13 not out, Elijah Ramkissoon 11; Shaffick Ali 3/10, Rajesh Bhaggan 3/18 vs OFFICIALS 25/8 (11.2 overs) - Shameed Ali 3/3, Fazeed Ali 2/1. Nightingale won by 36 runs.

CARATAL KNIGHT RIDERS 43/9 (12 overs) - Dillon Mohammed 15 not out; Denzil Joseph 3/10, Brent Wells 2/5, Jerren Franklin 2/18 vs MADRAS UNITED 47/3 (8.2 overs) - Denzil Joseph 17 not out; Narwaz Jahoor 2/7. Madras United won by seven wickets.

September 21 -

BANGAVILLE YOUTHS UNITED 45 (9.4 overs) - Kevin Ramsharran 4/4, Kelvin Seewah 3/12, Andiv Kanhai 3/13 vs D’ALLIANCE 46/9 (11.3 overs) - Bradley Matadeen 3/8, Shyon Moonwah 2/12. D’Alliance won by one wicket.
