Crime Of Passion sends out warning

CRIME OF PASSION sent out a stark message to all comers for his next outing.

The Raroma Stables-owned Caribbean sprint champion scooted along 800 metres to be clocked in 49.1 seconds on a fast Santa Rosa Park, Arima, on Sunday morning.

But his grey Chevan Maharaj-owned stablemate Coroneo who excited turfites with his dazzling run two weeks ago on debut, only did pace work over 400 metres in an ambling 29.4 seconds. Newcomer Masterpiece caught the eye in a 600 metres run which was timed in a good 36.0 seconds.

And another newcomer Iced Gold showed up well in a 600 metres run clocked in 36.2 seconds.

El Bandido De Oro and Harry Could Dance put down a good gallop over 600 metres clocking 35.3 seconds.

Another good gallop came from Gabby’s Gold who looked very lively over 1000 metres timed in one minute 04.2 seconds.

The Tactician, a late withdrawal on Saturday last, continued to show speed over 600 metres clocked in 36.0 seconds.

And Uncle Norman posted a time of 36.2 seconds for a 600 metres trip.

Three-year-old Champagne Affair had a good run over 600 metres clocked in 36.3 seconds.

Meanwhile, a Horse of the Year” Bigman In Town was seen out stretching his legs over 400 metres in a leisurely 29.4 seconds on the turf course, as he begins preparing for the Eric “Colt” Durant Memorial on February 15.
